About Denmark

Denmark is a country in the north of Europe, surrounded by Sweden, Poland, Germany, Holland, England and Norway.
It´s population is 5,5 million people on 43.000 square kilometers. The mainland is supplied by more than 400 islands and the country has apx 7.000 km shoreline.
Most people live in the cities, but many au-pairs also go to families living in the countryside. The country has a good infrastructure with bridges connecting most populated islands, roads, trains and busses available in most areas. Due to the temperatures in the winter half of the year, heating is available in every home. In a Danish home, you normally find a modern kitchen, hoover, washing and laundry mashines.
